About to pull the trigger on a used 488 in Abu Dhabi, anyone used a proper inspection service before signing?
Been dreaming about a 488 since they came out and I finally found one that looks almost too good to be true at a dealer over near the airport, low mileage and the spec is exactly what I wanted but there's this little voice in the back of my head that keeps whispering about flood damage cars from a few years ago that got cleaned up and shipped around the region and I really don't want my dream purchase to turn into a six month nightmare of electrical gremlins and a gearbox that's about to grenade itself on the first spirited drive down Yas Highway, I've read all the forum threads about what to look for on these cars like the sticky interior buttons and the carbon ceramic rotor wear but I'm not a mechanic and I'd rather pay someone who knows these cars intimately to put it on a lift and go through every inch with a fine tooth comb before I wire a massive chunk of my savings over, I saw a few mentions in some UAE Ferrari groups about getting a Ferrari pre-purchase car assessment Abu Dhabi and that honestly seems like the smartest money I could spend right now but I'm curious if anyone here has actually gone through that process and if the report caught anything significant that the dealer conveniently forgot to mention, just trying to go into this with my eyes wide open and not let the excitement of finally owning a Prancing Horse cloud my judgment.
